Ferdinand and the Dirty Knight
Author(s):
R. Eugene Jackson
Ferdinand, the mop-maker of the kingdom, hears about the Dirty Knight who refuses to take a bath and is bothering the people in the South Forest. When his friend, Mistress Melinda, becomes frightened of the Dirty Knight, Ferdinand sets out to "fix" him. On his quest, he meets Mr. Dragon, a friendly animal who has gotten a thorn stuck in his head. Ferdinand, with the help of Mr. Dragon, finally meets and bathes the Dirty Knight, saving the kingdom and winning the hand of the beautiful Mistress Melinda who (of course) turns out to be a princess.
